In 2026 TOPR fulfils the following public tasks assigned by Ministry of the Interior and Administration of the Republic of Poland:

1. Realisation of mountain rescue operations as delineated in Act on Safety and Rescue in the Mountains and on Maintained Ski Pistes in the area of Tatras and Spisz-Gubałówka Highland aiming at provision of safety of mountain areas visitors by maintaining readiness of mountain rescuers, fulfilment of administrative tasks, and development and publishing of avalanche bulletin.

2. Realisation of mountain rescue operations delineated in Act on Safety and Rescue in the Mountains and on Maintained Ski Pistes by maintaining the operational readiness of rescue helicopter operated by TOPR and performance of helicopter mountain rescue in the area of Tatras and Spisz-Gubałówka Highland, and, upon request of other entities on mountainous areas of southern Małopolska region, in particular.

State budget grant: 14 002 537 PLN

In 2025 TOPR realises a public task: maintaining rescue readiness and performance of rescue operations in Tatra mountains. The task is financed with funds from Małopolska Province in accordance with agreement I/1178/RO/1538/25 from 24 April 2025. The amount of financial grant: 480,000 PLN.
